Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Train new O&M technicians in safety and maintenance procedures
  • Manage daily operations and maintenance for utility-scale PV and energy storage sites
  • Handle multiple solar power plants, individually and as part of a team, ensuring safe, efficient, and optimized plant operations
  • Utilize knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including testing, maintenance, and repair of key PV power generation components and balance-of-system elements
  • Provide maintenance support, train new technicians, and contribute to developing top-tier in-house O&M services
  • Perform assigned operations and maintenance tasks for utility-scale PV projects
  • Conduct routine maintenance under supervision based on supervisor directions and work orders from the maintenance management system
  • Execute corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance safely and efficiently
  • Work with equipment including inverters, trackers, combiner boxes, PV modules, DC collection systems, AC collection and distribution systems, energy storage systems, MV/HV systems, SCADA, meters, and communication networks
  • Create and complete work tickets
  • Maintain tools, shops, vehicles, and work locations in a safe and efficient condition
  • Participate in training sessions as needed, whether in-house, online, or at OEM facilities
  • Respond to emergency outages, including facility and generator restorations
  • Be available on-call 24/7 as required
  • Oversee periodic third-party testing and calibration services
  • Assist with vegetation management on-site as needed
  • Document all maintenance activities and spare parts usage
  • Help develop written troubleshooting and maintenance procedures, including checklists
  • Support commissioning and post-commissioning activities
  • Perform additional technical and administrative duties related to power facility operation and maintenance as directed
  • Adhere to and contribute to workplace safety standards, and assist in enhancing these standards
